Hey, it's Quynh

I'm a product designer who thrives at the intersection of structure and creativity. My strategy-driven yet laid-back approach stems from an upbringing that balanced chaos with freedom.

While those around me were often stern, my parents encouraged independence and exploration, shaping my adaptability, empathy, and purpose-driven design.

How My Roots Inform My Design Process

As a Vietnamese American, my cultural background and personal experiences have significantly influenced my design journey. Early on, I thought graphic design was boring (think pamphlets and brochures), but by the end of college, I realized I actually thrive on the structure and problem-solving aspects of creativity. This realization came after exploring paths like becoming a manga artist, Japanese animator, or tattoo artist — all fueled by my love for drawing. However, I lacked direction until I was placed (without consent!) into a graphic design program.

The Pivot to
Product Design

From Shopping Carts

to Design Systems

Towards the end of college, I found my true calling: designing websites. Why? I’m chronically online and have a shopping addiction, so I’m constantly exposed to eCommerce sites. I saw websites as "brands in motion," akin to the dynamic storytelling of Japanese anime. This inspired me to merge creativity with interactivity, sparking my passion for digital design.

After graduation, I took it upon myself to learn website design

Webflow

My background in HTML/CSS and programming from college gave me a solid foundation, making Webflow a natural fit.

Figma

I mastered this tool through DesignLab, an online platform for UX/UI design. Having learned Webflow first, transitioning to Figma was seamless.

As a former shopping addict, I’ve spent more time on eCommerce sites than I’d like to admit. But that obsession turned into an advantage—giving me an intuitive understanding of what makes an online experience seamless, engaging, and conversion-driven.

Experience

present day

These days, I design products that make sense, feel good, and actually work. My focus? UX/UI, digital products, and design systems—where strategy meets creativity.

I love refining human-centered design, interactive experiences, and scalable systems to make things smoother and smarter. Fast-paced environments and rapid iteration? I'm all in.

Right now, I’m looking to level up my product design game, collaborating with teams that value thoughtful, impactful design—and maybe a little fun along the way.

When I’m not pushing pixels, you’ll find me:
