Project Overview
Endgame Academy is a gamified online learning platform aimed at teaching students game development through hands-on projects, live virtual classes, and structured game reviews. To provide a more tailored and seamless learning experience, the company opted to develop a custom platform rather than relying on third-party tools like Google Classroom.
As the Design Lead, I was responsible for refining key pages, developing a scalable design system, and facilitating cross-team collaboration to implement features such as live Zoom integration, a game review system, and a rewards-based engagement model—all within tight deadlines. These efforts culminated in an interactive and immersive learning experience that keeps students engaged beyond class hours.

Challenges
How do we keep students engaged even outside of class time?
How can gamification be effectively integrated to make learning interactive and enjoyable?
Students needed a structured way to provide and receive constructive feedback. Specific challenges included:
There was no handoff system or structured workflow, requiring me to create one using Notion and Loom videos.
Bridging communication gaps between designers and developers was critical. I took the initiative to create and standardize weekly meetings—one for the design team and another between the design and development teams—which became essential for transparency and alignment.
Developers used Bubble, which constrained the design’s functionality. My designs had to pivot to accommodate these limitations until a React migration was planned.
Previous designs lacked cohesion, making developer feedback and refinement processes tedious.
I worked with two other designers—one contracted and one original—whose experience levels varied. Managing and mentoring them added complexity to my role.
Initially limited to enhancing existing designs, I later shifted to creating a more cohesive and impactful visual approach.
Solution
Delivered a cohesive design that included:
Students can join virtual classes seamlessly through the platform.
Rewards and a redeemable store motivate students to stay engaged.
A collaborative space for students and instructors to provide feedback on game builds before public launch. Specific solutions included:
Created a scalable, standardized system that streamlined development and ensured consistency.
