The Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health is dedicated to advocating for improved mental health care for mothers by providing research, policy updates, and educational resources. Their existing digital experience lacked structure, making it difficult for users to find critical information and engage with advocacy efforts.
I redesigned the platform to create a clear, accessible, and engaging user experience, ensuring that policymakers, advocates, and individuals could easily navigate resources, stay informed on policy changes, and participate in advocacy initiatives. The goal was to develop an intuitive and scalable system that effectively supports maternal mental health advocacy.

Bridging the gap in public awareness regarding the importance of postpartum mental health.
Ensuring the redesigned pages remained consistent with the center's established branding and effectively conveyed their mission and values.
As a remote worker, I faced creative burnout during this project, which impacted my motivation and focus. I realized the importance of reaching out to coworkers for support and collaboration to navigate these challenges effectively.
Solution
The redesigned homepage, about page, and reports section effectively communicate the center’s mission and provide accessible, user-friendly resources. The updates reflect the organization’s commitment to maternal mental health advocacy and its dedication to empowering families.
The Process
Conducted extensive research into the organization’s branding and social media to understand the type of graphics and messaging they produced.
Utilized existing branding elements to create a cohesive design that effectively communicates health information while maintaining brand integrity. Harmonized visual elements, colors, and typography with the center's identity.
Prioritized the presentation of clear and concise health information, enabling visitors to easily access valuable resources and reports, empowering informed decisions regarding maternal mental health.
Ensured the about page prominently showcased the center's mission and dedication to improving the lives of mothers, children, and families, serving as a heartfelt introduction to their work and values.
Recognizing the impact of creative burnout, I made an effort to connect with coworkers and seek their insights, which helped mitigate the stress of remote work and reignited my creative energy.
The Results
The improved pages enhanced accessibility and usability, allowing visitors to navigate resources with ease. Positive feedback from stakeholders highlighted the effectiveness of the updated design in maintaining brand integrity while better serving the audience's needs. The redesign supports the center's mission of empowering families through accessible and vital health information.
